Brock wrestlers capture gold at Ontario Senior Championships
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's and women's wrestling teams place first at the 2011 Ontario Senior Championships in front of a hometown crowd at the Ian Beddis Gymnasium Saturday.
The Brock women took home gold in five of the eight weight classes to capture first overall. Capturing gold were Jade Parsons (48kg), Stephanie Riopel (51kg), Diana Ford (55kg), Natasha Chang (59kg) and Michele Fazzari (63kg).
Lisa Wainman (51kg), Celeste Rodrigues (59kg) and Deb Jehu (72kg) all finished second overall. Alexis Kilroy (63kg) captured bronze.
For the Brock men, Jake Needham (60kg) captured gold.
Zack Falconi (55kg), CJ Hudson (66kg) and Anton Schipillo (84kg) all placed second overall. Jason Benton-Hurst (74kg) captured bronze.
Former Badger, Alex Brown-Theriault captured gold at 84kg for NCWC.
