Lancers magical in New York, capture gold at 103rd Millrose Games
The Windsor Lancers Track and Field team made more history on
Friday night as the Lancer Women's 4x800m relay team upset the
field to take the gold medal at the 103rd Millrose Games in New
York.
The Lancers finished in a season best time of 9:07.88 to win the
women's 4x800m title at Madison Square Garden.
The University of Virginia finished second in a time of
9:09.96.
The Millrose Games is the longest-running annual event held at
fabled Madison Square Garden and one of the top indoor track and
field meets in the word.
Previous Millrose Games have featured track and field legends such
as Carl Lewis, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Gail Devers, Maurice Greene
and countless others.
