2009 CIS women's soccer championship tickets ON SALE NOW

TORONTO - The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are pleased to announce that tickets for the 2009 CIS women's soccer championship have gone on sale and are available to purchase online at www.ticketbreak.com or through www.varsityblues.ca.

The CIS championship is scheduled to run November 12-15, 2009 at U of T's Varsity Centre.

The Varsity Blues hope to build and strengthen the development and growth of women's soccer in an exciting and revitalized atmosphere. This CIS championship offers fans a chance to take in some excellent soccer matches as some of Canada's best talents will be showcased in the four-day event.

"This is a first for the university as we've never hosted the women's national soccer championship and we couldn't be more thrilled," said Liz Hoffman, director of athletics. "With the growth of women's soccer across the province and in Canada, as well as the resurgence of professional soccer with Toronto FC, we feel that this is going to be a great opportunity to showcase the talent we have across the country."
