MONTREAL - The Gee-Gees were held scoreless in a 38-0 defeat by McGill this Sunday afternoon.

Fourth-year prop Esinam Agbeyaka (Oshawa, Ont.) was given player of the game honours by the Gee-Gees for her focused presence on the field in her first game starting returning from an ankle injury.

“I am disappointed in the performance,” said head coach Suzanne Chaulk, “but I realize we are a young team. This is part of our developmental curve and we are prepared to come back and bring it against Concordia.”

The Gee-Gees coaching staff went shoeless at today’s game to raise awareness for those who do not have access to sports or proper sporting equipment and for the charity Right to Play.

The Gee-Gees will look to rebound in their home-opener on September 25, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. as they face rival Concordia Stingers.
