uOttawa recruits women's hockey coach

OTTAWA - The search begins immediately for a full-time women's hockey coach and program leader at the University of Ottawa.

"Shelley built a solid foundation," said uOttawa athletic director Luc Gelineau on Wednesday of former coach Shelley Coolidge, who assumes head coaching responsibilities with the women's hockey program at Carleton University following a 42-31-11 regular season coaching record and four CIS tournament appearances in six seasons with the Gee-Gees.

"We remain steadfastly optimistic about our development of the uOttawa women's hockey program and will build upon Shelley's foundation to continue to elevate the standard.

"This will be the mandate of the next coach / general manager."

A national search is underway.
