Gaels alum Brittany Moore signs professional contract

KINGSTON, Ont. – Brittany Moore '11, who completed her
five-year career with the Gaels this spring, has signed a
professional contract with the TSV Quakenbrueck Dragons of the
2.Bundesliga, the German second division, for the upcoming
season.
Moore, a 5' 6” guard, ended her career as one of the most
decorated players in Queen's history. She is the Gaels' all-time
leading scorer, and second on the OUA career list, with 1,652
points. Moore was a four-time OUA East First Team All-Star, a
four-time team MVP, and a three-year captain.
The Hannon, Ont., native graduated with a Bachelor of Physical and
Health Education degree in 2011 and received her Bachelor of
Education degree in 2012, earning Academic All-Canadian honours in
her final season.
Moore is the first Gael to sign a professional contract since Amy
Goodday '05, who played in Bonn, Germany during the 2005-06
season.
The TSV Quackenbrueck Dragons play in the North Group of the
2.Bundesliga, and went 9-12 last year. They open their 22-game
regular season on September 22 against Opladen.
The 2012-13 Gaels women's basketball team also opens up their
season on September 22, with a non-confernece game at the ARC Main
Gym against Morrisville State (N.Y.).
