Exhibition: Ravens defeat Citadins in exhibition action

The Carleton Ravens women's basketball team defeated the UQAM Citadins 67-63 on the road Thursday night in an exhibition matchup.

Jessica Resch (Orleans, Ont.) and Genavieve Melatti (Brampton, Ont.) led the Ravens with 12 points each. Kendall MacLeod (Brockville, Ont.) added 10 points and grabbed three rebounds in the win.

Carleton held a narrow 28-27 lead at the half and began to pull away in the third quarter, outscoring the Citadins 23-18. The Ravens held a 12-point lead with four minutes to go but UQAM was able to make it a close game, pulling within four at the final whistle.

The Ravens return to regular season action on Jan. 7 when they host the Ryerson Rams at the Ravens' Nest. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
