No. 9 Bobcats take down No. 2 Golden Bears in four

In Brandon, the Brandon University Bobcats were able to fight off a 3rd set University of Alberta Golden Bears victory and take the match 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 25-16) to get their first ever victory against the Golden Bears.

Leading the way for the Bobcats was Paul Sanderson with 28 kills and 9 digs. Chipping in with 9 kills was Riley Phillips, who also tallied 7 digs. Kyle Dellezay provided 44 assists.

For the Golden Bears, rightside Spencer Leiske amounted 14 kills to lead the attack for Alberta. Thomas Jarmoc added 11 kills, while Jason DeRocco provided 9 kills along with 12 digs.

These two teams battle tomorrow night in Brandon. Game time is 8:00 pm CST.
