After a 6-2 loss to the UQTR Patriotes Saturday night, the Gee-Gees did not get the bounce back game they were hoping for on Sunday, falling 8-2 to the Concordia Stingers.

"It was a really unfortunate game," said Gee-Gees head coach Dave Leger. "It's disappointing. I thought it would have been a much better effort considering last night's loss. These are two points that we will probably regret later down the road."

The Gee-Gees were down 3-0 before first-year forward Luc Blain, Longueuil, Qué., would net one in for the Gee-Gees just over halfway through the second period to put his team on the scoreboard. However, despite a power play goal by first-year forward Kyle Ireland, Rosetown, Sask., the Stingers would go on to double their score in the third period to finish the game 8-2.

"We turned the puck over too many times, and there was not much in terms of response to the other team. It was a disappointing game all over the ice," explained Leger.

Nonetheless, Leger added that despite these two losses, "the good news is that we'll face both these same two teams next weekend."

The Gee-Gees will host Concordia next Friday, January 28, followed by UQTR on Saturday, January 29, both of which are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the uOttawa Sports Complex.
