BRONZE: 2009 CIS women’s field hockey championship: Host Vikes edge top-ranked Guelph, win bronze 11/8/09 VICTORIA (CIS) – The tournament host University of Victoria Vikes edged the top-ranked Guelph Gryphons 2-1 to claim the bronze medal at the CIS women’s field hockey championship, Sunday morning.
GOLD: 2009 CIS women’s field hockey championship: UBC’s claims record 12th McCrae Cup 11/8/09 VICTORIA (CIS) – The second-seeded UBC Thunderbirds won a record-setting 12th CIS women’s field hockey title with a 6-0 gold-medal defeat of the No. 5 Alberta Pandas, Sunday afternoon at the University of Victoria.
