Field Hockey Gryphons donate to Emma's Toy Drive

GUELPH, Ont. - Too many kids, the holiday season means presents, parties and fun with family and friends. However, the reality is that many kids won't have a Christmas this year.

The Field Hockey Gryphons wanted to give from the heart to others less fortunate so they donated toys to Emma's Toy Drive. All of the toys are donated to the Women in Crisis Shelters of Guelph and Wellington County.

It's been a tradition for the past four years for the Gryphons to exchange childhood Christmas gifts with the goal of helping to put over 30 toys under the trees of local children.

Emma has quite a story starting her toy drive initiative as an eight-year old. She is now 17 and has collected over 10,000 toys in past years.

It is our hope that we can bring smiles to the faces of needy children during this magical time of year.
