CIS winter championship season kicks off Friday

OTTAWA (CIS) – The Canadian Interuniversity Sport winter championship season gets under way on Friday with swimming in Quebec City (Feb. 26-28) and wrestling in St. Catharines, Ont. (Feb 26-27).

All swimming finals from Laval University and selected wrestling matches from Brock University – including all medal bouts – will be streamed live on CIS-SIC.tv.

Following a one-week break, the action resumes with track and field in Toronto (March 10-12), men's volleyball in Hamilton (March 10-12) and women's volleyball in Brandon (March 11-13). Women's basketball in Fredericton, men's basketball in Vancouver, women's hockey in Calgary and men's hockey in Halifax follow from March 17-20, all part of Sportsnet U Championship Weekend. Championship season concludes with curling at the Kelowna Curling Club from March 20-23.
