Winter championship season kicks off Thursday
OTTAWA (CIS) – The 2011 Canadian Interuniversity Sport winter championship season gets under way later this week with the nation’s top varsity swimmers diving into the University of Calgary pool, and CIS’ best wrestlers taking to the mat at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay.
The CIS swimming championships run from Thursday through Saturday, with preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. MT and finals at 6 p.m. MT daily.
The wrestling championships are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, with preliminary matches on Day 1 and placement matches – including finals – on Day 2.
