2010 CIS men's soccer tickets on sale NOW

TORONTO - The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are pleased to announce that tickets for the 2010 CIS men's soccer championship have gone on sale and are available to purchase online at www.ticketbreak.com  or through www.varsityblues.ca .

The CIS championship is scheduled to run November 11-14, 2010 at U of T's Varsity Centre.

The national tournament offers fans a chance to take in some excellent soccer matches as some of Canada's best talent will be showcased in the four-day event.

2010 marks the second time Toronto has hosted the men's national championship – the Blues earned the silver medal when they last hosted in 1986 at Varsity Stadium.

As the host school, the Varsity Blues already claim a spot in the quarter-final round with a chance to vie for a national title on home turf. They will be joined by two other representatives from the OUA, Canada West and QSSF as well as the AUS conference champions.

"The University of Toronto sees hosting the CIS championship as a fantastic opportunity to partner with the Ontario Soccer Association to strengthen soccer in the Greater Toronto Area," said Beth Ali, U of T's Director of Intercollegiate & High Performance Sport. "We are excited to be hosting and expect an outstanding competition that brings together the top teams from across the country."
