Doubleheader session tickets on sale NOW, for CIS Final 8 mens basketball championship
OTTAWA – In conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity
Sport and Scotiabank Place, the host organizing committee for the
2010 Canadian Interuniversity Sport men’s basketball
championship – the Final 8, presented by Milk, announced that
doubleheader session tickets are on sale now. Last spring, more
than 73,000 fans witnessed CIS basketball action when the
top-seeded tournament host Carleton Ravens captured their sixth
W.P. McGee trophy in seven years with an 87-77 victory over the No.
3 seed UBC Thunderbirds in the championship game.
Doubleheader session tickets will be available for all five of the
tournament’s sessions, which commence with quarter-final
games on Friday, March 19, at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. With games
scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Friday evening session will
feature the host and defending champions Carleton University Ravens
playing their first game of the tournament in the nightcap.
Friday’s games are single-elimination matchups, with the four
winners advancing to Saturday evening’s semifinal session
games at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The consolation semifinal session takes
place earlier on Saturday, with games at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30
p.m.
The lone Sunday session features revised start times for the
fifth-place game at 4 p.m. and the championship game at 6:30 p.m.
All five sessions (10 games in total) will take place at
Ottawa’s Scotiabank Place.
Doubleheader session tickets, which include entry to two games,
will be available starting at $20 per doubleheader session. Full
tournament packages, which include a ticket to each of the
tournament’s 10 games, are currently on sale.
Single session tickets for the 2010 Canadian Interuniversity Sport
men’s basketball championship – the Final 8, presented
by Milk, go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. Tickets (and

The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d’Orléans,
any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box

Ticket prices do not include CRF and convenience charges. Discounts
