Ticket packages on sale NOW for CIS FINAL 8 Championship, presented by Milk

OTTAWA - In conjunction with CIS and Scotiabank Place, the host organizing committee - the Final 8, presented by Milk, tickets are on sale NOW. Last spring, more than 73,000 fans witnessed CIS basketball action when the top-seeded tournament host Carleton Ravens captured their sixth W.P. McGee trophy in seven years with an 87-77 victory over the No. 3 seed UBC Thunderbirds in the championship game.

Ticket packages will provide access to each of the tournament's 10 games, which commence with quarter-final games on Friday, March 19, at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. With games scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Friday evening session will feature the host and defending champions Carleton University Ravens playing their first game of the tournament in the nightcap.

Friday's games are single-elimination matchups, with the four winners advancing to Saturday evening's semifinal session games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The consolation semifinal session takes place earlier on Saturday, with games at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The lone Sunday session features the fifth-place game at 1:30 p.m. and the championship game at 4 p.m. All five sessions (10 games in total) will take place at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place.

Full tournament packages, which include a ticket to each of the tournament's 10 games, will be available starting at $7.50 per ticket per game.

Ticket packages for the 2010 Canadian Interuniversity Sport men's basketball championship - the Final 8, presented by Milk, go on sale Monday, Sept. 14, at noon. Packages can be purchased online at www.CapitalTickets.ca , by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d'Orléans, any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
