Paris Carter
Carter, a fifth-year student from Baltimore, Maryland, also
averaged 36 points per outing to help the nationally fifth-ranked
and AUS-leading Capers improve to 16-1 on the campaign thanks to
back-to-back road wins over Saint Mary’s. In Saturday’s
106-93 series opening victory, the 6-foot-4 guard, who ranks third
in the AUS with 19.2 points per game, tallied 26 points, six
rebounds and six assists. In Sunday’s rematch, he exploded
for 46 points in a 101-97 victory including 30 on 10-of-20 shooting
from beyond the arc, establishing single-game school records for
most points and three-pointers made, as well as an AUS mark for
three-point attempts.
Laval volleyball player Frédéric Mondou, UOIT hockey
player Jason Guy and Saskatchewan basketball player Jamelle Barrett
were the other male nominees.
